It was an absolute pleasure having Susan Orneck represent my family during the recent sale and subsequent purchase of our primary residence. Both the selling and buying sides presented some unique challenges that required the experience of a seasoned veteran of the industry. I initially contacted Susan to rescue the sale of our prior home because the realtor I chose was not able to obtain an offer in a reasonable amount of time. The house was on the market with the previous realtor for nearly 6 months and over 25 showings produced no offers. Susan came on board, made some key recommendations for us and started her marketing machine. The house was under contract by the 5th showing obtaining 97% of asking allowing us to not take a loss which was a very real possibility. Our subsequent purchase transaction proved to be especially challenging due to some complications that the loan incurred in underwriting. When it appeared that the deal may not proceed she went above and beyond to help obtain the difficult items needed to satisfy the underwriter. This included providing leadership to the entire team and spending an afternoon in the broker’s office to personally ensure the documents were received in order by underwriting. She showed me a never say die attitude that is inspirational to say the least and ultimately saved the transaction. After reflecting on the entire ordeal that the underwriting delay caused I can say with the utmost certainty that if I had any other realtor we would have lost the house. For Susan this was a particularly challenging couple months and I experienced her "In the Trenches" side but what is not to be overlooked is the command and control she has when not dealing with difficult situations, like looking at houses. When selecting and previewing homes you just feel like you’re with someone that has seen it all and has the most valuable advice and wisdom. I've nick-named her the "house whisperer". She knows what works and what doesn't and will certainly not pull any punches when overzealous husbands want the next fixer upper they shouldn't buy. She is very much a master of her craft and I recommend her to anyone selling and/or shopping for a new home.
